The Exhibition: “Life” Through the Eyes of Artist Bill Papas features original artwork of Bill Papas. It will include paintings of life in Greece and Portland recently donated to HACCM and OHS. The show will include watercolors, acrylics and lithographs.
The Artist: Bill Papas was born in Ermelo, South Africa in 1927. It wasn’t until 1960 that the artist (who was then working in London for the Guardian, Sunday Times, and Punch Magazine as a political cartoonist and artist reporter) first traveled to Greece. Bill and his wife Tessa spent several years living in Ermioni, Greece before settling in Portland, Oregon.
