This exhibit featured objects from a generous donation by Elaine Pappas-Suarez, who collected and rescued a variety of art objects during her years as an exporter living in Greece from the late 1960s to early 1980s. Ms. Pappas gifted her collection to our museum so that these objects–which range from antiquity to modern times–may be viewed by our community, schoolchildren, and visitors for future generations. The collection features pottery, sculptures, coins, clothing, textiles, Karaghiozi items, weaving, jewelry, etchings, fossils, wood block prints, liturgical articles, linens, brass, lithographs, tools and architectural elements.
Visit the Hellenic-American Cultural Center & Museum to view a complete slide show of this as well as any of the past exhibits.
