Greek Baseball Uniform

We’d like to thank Kathryn Leventis for donating her father’s wool baseball uniform, dating to the late 1940s or early 1950s, along with a team photo. Kathryn tells us, “Pharmacist Chris Haleston sponsored the Holy Trinity baseball team, which played other churches in the city league. This picture was taken in the 1940s right after World War II. My father Tom Leventis is in the front row, third from the left.” Did you or a family member play baseball for the church league? Please reach out if you can help us learn more about Greek community baseball, or identify anyone else in the photograph!
