HISTORY IN FOCUS – PHOTOGRAPHS BY PETER CORVALLIS is an exhibition of photographs taken by Peter Corvallis, photojournalist and freelance photographer. From the mid-20th century to the early 21st century, Peter took a vast number of photographs that chronicled life in Portland. Many of the photographs appeared in The Oregonian and The Oregon Journal newspapers where Peter was on staff.
Peter’s body of work includes famous political leaders, including Presidents of the United States, celebrities, the changing skyline of Portland, natural disasters, and people living and working in the Northwest. Also included are several front pages from The Oregonian featuring photographs taken by Peter. Several covers of Northwest magazine, a Sunday supplement of the paper, are also displayed. Come and view this historical and eclectic body of work by Peter Corvallis.
